I think what this person is trying to say is that because of what happened in the past, it's why our country is in the state that it's in. It's not all George Bush's fault, he just caught the blame because he was President, while everything just spiraled.

I don't think it's polite to try to comment on blogs without reading them first. Not once did I lay blame on the republican party. I will, however, criticize some conservative opinions that I hear tossed around with facts pulled straight out of the 70's. Study my history? History is called that for a reason. It's great to know and learn from, but not to live in. I live in the present and if I need to make a change to better my life that's what I do. It's what we all need to do. Our lives could all use a positive change and it's not going to happen by listening to the negative opinions of people stuck 40 years in the past.
Barack Obama is the first president that I've heard in my lifetime who's speeches actually inspire me. When he was elected, I saw a ray of hope shine through the dreariness of everything that I think is wrong and unjust in our country. It's an uphill battle but with work and the right attitude we can make it!

Well,,As a Republican I can say that you are lacking information and only seeing one side to all your arguments,, which is not surprizing considering the total control of the media by the bleeding heart liberals,, not to metion that I disagree with tax and spend-ocrats on most issues. First off, Abortion,, Guess its ok to kill unborn babys but capitol punishment is cruel.. I got a REAL problem with that one.. Gun control is another,,Guess it would be a smart thing to take guns away from law abiding citizens that way only criminals will have guns,,Smart idea there... lets see,,the current economy,, Is that George Bush's,s fault?? Not entirely,, Our Democratic controled congress has more to do with that than anybody,, There total lack of action over that last 2 years where by the Democatic controlled Congress did not pass one single piece of meaningful legaslation for 2 years under Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi speaks volumes. The current economic crisis we face was caused entirely by the cost of oil. when oil hit $4.15 a gallon and it was costing Americans 100 dollars a week to fill there gas tank, Inflation started to rise and the cost of food went up, interest rates went up, so mortgage rates went up,which made house payments go up and people were strapped for cash, and poof,, everybody just cut back on spending, and that brings us up to now. George Bush pushed hard for a economic stimulus package that the Democrats opposed, unfortunately by the time the Democrats finally did approve it, it was to late.. Lets look back a few years further to the Bill Clinton administration.. It was said by the media that he balanced the federal budget,, Thats a absolute Lie,, The Republican controled congress led by Republican Newt Gingrich in which they enacted the (Contract with America) and balanced the federal budget with in 100 days of taking control of congress are the ones who balanced the budget.. In fact Bill Clinton threatened to Veto that bill but gave in under imense public pressure. But the liberal media wants you to believe Bill did it. And if Bill would of done something the first time Al-Quaida tried to blow up the World Trade Center instead of just lobbing a couple of cruise missles in to Afghanistan and blowing up a few tents, perhaps 9-11 would never had happened. And if Bill hadn't lied to a Federal Grand Jury, (under oath) then he wouldnt of had to worry about getting impeached by Congress.. Good role model there.. Lets look back a little further to the Jimmy Carter days,, to the days of double digit inflation and double digit unemployment and to gas lines that stretched around the block twice just to get gas because of the Arab oil embargo. Oh, and lets not forget the Iran hostage crisis that lasted for over 400 days cause Jimmy was to afraid to do anything about it. These were the issues that led Republican Ronald Reagan to sweep the 1980 election by a landslide never before seen in American history. On the very day that Ronald Reagan was sworn in as President the Iranians released the hostages,, Guess they knew what was coming. Study your history, just dont believe what the liberal media tells you..

I agree, there is a lot of hypocrisy in this country!!!! There are many people to fault for the state that the country is in. Yes, me being a republican, I feel that both political parties played a part, but I however don't agree with everything most republican's do. I do feel that Barak Obama will pull our country out of this mess. This is America, we must prevail!
